Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

The COVID-19 pandemic amplified the essential need for U.S. broadband. Broadband access brings participation, inclusion, engagement, overall equity in rural and other inequitable areas. By having affordable internet, quality access along with proper technology equipment can minimize barriers that can lead to negative health outcomes. Many households currently still lack access to high-speed internet, digital skills, or income to use online services. The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) aims to fill those broadband inequities gaps by providing discounts towards internet services and electronic equipment.

The ACP is helping millions of eligible households throughout the U.S. save hundreds of dollars on Home Internet. This federally funded initiative offers a $30 monthly discount on Home Internet (up to $75 per month for household on qualifying Tribal Lands) and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a computer or a tablet. Even better: when the ACP discount is used with the right plan, Home Internet can be FREE for your family.

California ACP State Tracker reported that 45% of Californians are eligible for ACP.
